LORD OF LIGHT: The Story of Jesus’ Life On
Earth
7PM on Sunday evening, March 21 at 7 p.m. This Lenten canata is a Woodstock ecumenical event with participation from First United Methodist, Grace Lutheran, Redeemer Lutheran, St. John’s Lutheran and St. Mary’s Roman Catholic Church. The 50 voice choir will be accompanied by a 20-piece orchestra and 6 story tellers. A free will offering will be taken and directed to the support of WACM and The Family Health Partnership of Woodstock. Grace Lutheran Church, 1300 Kishwaukee Valley Road, Woodstock Praise and Prayer Our church
will celebrate a monthly “Praise and Prayer” Service through October. All are invited to experience
the power and presence of God through Scripture, Praise and contemporary worship. The
upcoming dates are the following Saturdays: February 20th March 20th April 17th May 15th June 19th July 17th August 21st September 18th October 16th Pictures of each group coming soon.
Chancel Choir
performs two times a month. Requirements are simple! A desire to praise God and enjoy the company of others. Practice begins Wednesday, August 26th at 7:00pm. Lift up your hearts and voice in song! Special Music - The 2nd Sunday of every month is set aside for soloists and small
groups. Singers and instrumentalists are needed. Bring your favorite song and we’ll
schedule a Sunday for you to share your talents with God and our congregation.
Bell Choir rehearses after the second service and performs 3-4 times a year. Practice begins on Sunday, September
6th. Come ring
those bells!
